AMY HARDBERGER is the McCleskey Professor of Law and the Director of the Center for Water Law and Policy at Texas Tech School of Law where she teaches courses in property, water, land use, and environmental law. Her work focuses on the intersection of water with other disciplines such as energy and land management.
Her academic writings focus on shared water governance, international water law, energy/water nexus, water pricing, the human right to water and Texas groundwater. She previously worked as an attorney for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). There, she led partnerships with cities and interfaced with Texas state agencies and lawmakers on municipal water conservation policies and sustainable water planning. Prior to attending law school, Hardberger earned a B.A. and a M.S. in Geology and worked as an environmental consultant and geologist for Universe Technologies, Inc., which focused on the remediation and property transfer of closed military bases. She’s also a professionally registered Geoscientist in the State of Texas. |
